This seems like a great idea for tourists who like to bike when they travel through different cities. Hopefully they are accurate.

Another one is the snow issue. Luckily Cambridge's urban area is not very dense, otherwise you would run into snow shoveling problems - shovel snow onto the street: $25; don't shovel and leave snow on sidewalk: $25.
What do we learn: you need a small front yard in Cambridge to avoid snow shovel tickets during winter...
Do we see the handwriting of real estate lobbyists on that ticket?

I find the difference between C1 and C2 interesting. Particularly since the "price tag" doesn't differ whether you do construction work on Sunday or during the week.

Have you heard about the plans to put in a light rail system going through midtown Manhattan? So far city officials are against it, saying it will interfere with their plans to extend the No. 7 line, but personally I think its a fantastic idea. It would bring us up to speed with European cities like Amsterdam.

It is not incredibly useful in an immediate sense, but i recently read that Autodesk is working with apple to come up with a more direct facilitation of AutoCAD on Mac.. Still not quite a discussion of native - just a patch of sorts for parallels.

These http://www.osmwms.de do not work in MapInfo Professional 8.5 either. It shows initially something in Bremen in very general level, but zooming in brings only to white images. Usually I have no issues opening different WMS servers with the software, when the servers are properly configured.

On a lighter note, have you seen the movie "Who Framed Roger Rabbit"? One of the subplots involves the purchase of the "Red Car" in Los Angeles, California, by a major corporation that's planning the development of a freeway through "Toontown".
