My favorite video podcast, Cool Hunting, got a little confused lately and pushed this amazing breakdance clip down to my iTunes instead of the announced Mika Rottenberg video. I’m glad they did.
Who would have thought that Tchaikovsky and b-boys/girls go so well together!
I’m not quite sure how I was spending most of my time when I was 15, but I was definitely not doing such a superb radio show like Zoe does. (via BB)
Ok, I take everthing back what I thought about Podcasts (c.f. Radio++). Since iTunes 4.9 features Podcasts the client problem is gone – Podcasts are now easy to use and they work perfect with my iPod.
About the radio programm: yes, we have an excellent radio station here, but without Podcasts I guess I would have sticked forever with FM4. I would never ever have listened to some other shows from private people. I would never ever have found the Podcast of PinkBeltRAGE which I don’t want to miss any more. Her compilations are simply GREAT! I love them! It’s such a long time since I listened to that kind of music, must be around ten years now. In the mid 90ies electronic music called my attention and since then I got really into it. It was new (at least for me), fresh and therefore full of energy which I missed in other types of music I used to listen to. Over the past 3 years I tried to leave the country of electronica, to visit other areas once in a while, but it’s a hard way back. But I felt kind of lost out of electronic country, didn’t know what’s going on, which bands or labels have arised (apart from the most famous ones which of course I know). PinkBeltRAGE is my guide out there, a very classy one.
Just discovered podcasting… Basically it offers you the possibility to compose your individual (on-the-way) radio. But after some time exploring podcasting and playing around with some podcasting-clients I’m still not sure of using it frequently.First, we have a absolutely fabulous radiostation here (-> fm4). Thus I currently have no need to compose an alternative radio.
Secondly, the clients, no offense but imho is the use of most of the clients pretty complicated. If my programming skills were better I would try to integrate podcasting functionality to the Firefox extension Sage, or would hope for integration in one of the already very convenient RSS-clients out there (PulpFiction, Newsfire, etc.).

Nevertheless podcasting is for sure a great new form of radio broadcasting – you choose your shows, completely independent from any schedule – you create and publish your show without the need of a traditional radio station – sounds promising! let’s see how this evolves…
What I really would like to do is to connect to other mp3-players on the street, subway or wherever. Everytime I’m plugged to mine I’m wondering about what music are all the others listening to – just curiosity. I know there are some gadgets around that turn your iPod into a little radio station, but that’s way too complicated. I would like to have a simple function to switch thru all neighbouring mp3-players if they allow it
(without downloading of course! just listening…)
