Disappointing

It was only a matter of time until the first bash Zidane games would appear on the internet. I didn’t like the ending of yesterday’s World Cup finals at all. First, Zidane’s attack on Materazzi (for whatever reason) and secondly, a world championship must not end with a penalty shoot-out, it’s disappointing.

/4 Finals

No luck for me yesterday: Germany destroyed my bet on Argentina as the next soccer world champion. But after a day in black I just saw a great Zinedine Zidane kicking out Brasil. Would be fantastic if France would win the world cup in his last match!

Czechoslovakia

USA was defeated by Czech Republic yesterday. Czechoslovakia are 2 separated countries for longer than a decade now. It was called Czechoslovakia during the era of Communism, that makes the difference. 98.5 KFOX should send some of its staff back to school.

ArgentinaAnyone who would like to place a bet?

My tips:

  1. The next FIFA World Champion won’t be a European team.
  2. My tip for the overall winner and the next FIFA World Champion is Argentina. Don’t know, it’s just a feeling…

I reserve the right to change those tips in case Rooney shows up and Owen leaves his depression at the border to Germany.

Big European Google Maps update

The Google Maps update in Europe came just in time to sell some location aware advertising during FIFA World Cup 2006 in Germany. Address finder and address based routing are not working yet (at least I wasn’t able to find a single address in Vienna), but AdSense already does quite a good job while searching Google Local.
