CSSing

CSSeditIt needed Macheist to point me to CSSedit. This editor is just the right combination of WYSIWYG and text editor, features live preview and CSS overwrites. All seen in Firefox’s Web Developer toolbar of course, the Swiss army knife of web development. But not with such an intuitive user interface as CSSedit offers.

If you’re sitting behind a Mac and do CSS, you should give CSSedit a try, it’s worth it!

Google Reader Theme

Google Reader ThemeBeing a big fan of Google Reader, for reasons like keyboard short-cuts or tags instead of folders, I’m really glad to have finally found this Google Reader Theme developed by hicksdesign (it’s around since April though).

Clearly, it adopts much of the Mac OS X UI style, but still, it’s amazing how you can improve usability only by applying a decent CSS: the sidebar appears better organized and articles itself are easier readable than without the theme.

Adding the two extra style definitions as mentioned in the comment section here makes it even better.

If you’re using Google Reader, you definitely should give it a try.

WordPress eye candy

The WP Tiger Administration plugin won’t bring any new features to WordPress, but wrap the entire admin section into a whole new beautiful interface.

… I didn’t want to touch the XHTML framework of the admin, but instead relied on the power of CSS2 to manipulate the presentation.

Amazing to see what can be done if you know how to use CSS2!

CSSafari

I didn’t know that Safari is already supporting parts of CSS3 like {text-shadow} and a few other properties. Apparently its time to dig through some W3C documents.

Wonderful what you can do with CSS. I guess it’s time to improve my CSS skills…
